Crafted from Paulownia, built to be ridden

Every Sine Surf board starts as a design on screen and becomes a hollow Paulownia frame, cut on our CNC machine in Sydney. The result is a light, lively wooden surfboard with a natural grain finish, made to your size and shape.

  • 1. Designed and cut

Each shape is designed in CAD, then the hollow Paulownia frame, with internal stringers and solid wood rails, is cut on our CNC machine.

  • 2. Laminated in epoxy

The deck and bottom are skinned in Paulownia, then laminated in epoxy by the team at Eye Symmetry Surfboards in Brookvale.

  • Strider tail with a vented wooden leash plug and teal rail

    3. Vented and finished

The hollow core is vented through our own wooden leash plug, so it can breathe while keeping water out.

Made by surfers, in Sydney

Sine Surf began in 2020 with a simple question: could a high-performance surfboard be built from wood instead of foam? Years of prototypes and test sessions in Sydney surf later, that is what we build.

Building your own wooden board?

We make the vented leash plugs, vents, and fin boxes we use in our own boards, and supply Paulownia timber cut to size for builders Australia-wide.
